The short answer

Choose a restaurant loyalty app by the actual counter workflow, not its feature count. Check how guests get a card, how staff confirm purchases, who defines rewards and what the venue pays. Consider StampiGram for stamp cards, coupons and certificates in a shared customer app; required features and market availability need confirmation before a pilot.

Actual app components · sample data

1. Distinguish the access model

A shared app holds offers from several venues; a branded app serves one business; a browser-based card may avoid installation. Check registration steps, how guests recognise your venue and how they find the terms. A QR code alone does not tell you whether installation is required: it can lead to any of these experiences.

2. Test the counter workflow

Ask for a complete demonstration: open a card, check the purchase, confirm a stamp and see the updated progress. Then examine duplicate taps, reversals and a lost connection. StampiGram has separate guest and staff applications. Its live workflow requires internet access and an onboarded venue.

3. Compare the full cost

Include locations, staff access, paid messages, setup, training and reward costs, not just a monthly subscription. Ask what changes as usage grows and what happens when service ends. StampiGram packages cost $15, $20 and $50; onboarding terms are agreed beforehand. Free guest registration does not establish that the venue service is free.

4. Verify the features you actually need

If you require a POS integration, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, custom branding or a particular currency, ask for a working demonstration and written availability. StampiGram does not claim those integrations or universal availability on this website. A sample screenshot is not a promise of every payment or redemption option.

5. Pilot one offer first

Choose one mechanism, one reward and a defined guest group. Record success criteria: return visits, staff workload, disputed operations and contribution after costs. Compare against a baseline. A large chain’s program is not automatically a suitable model for an independent coffee shop.

Action plan

  • Map the guest journey to the card.
  • Demonstrate staff issuing and redemption.
  • Agree total costs and required functionality.
  • Clarify data handling and service exit.
  • Define the pilot metric and boundaries.

What to measure

Measure completed actions: guests who get a card, buy and return. Downloads alone are not evidence of incremental revenue.

Where StampiGram fits

StampiGram serves venues and service businesses that need stamp cards and offers in a customer app. It does not replace a POS or booking system; integration availability is confirmed before onboarding.
